The Zeemanserve is a unique courtyard with a rich history in the heart of Vlissingen.
The Seamen's Almshouse, also known as the Cornelia Quackshofje, was founded in 1643 as a residence for the widows of sailors and fishermen. The charming courtyard is tucked away between Spuistraat and Walstraat and still exudes peace and history.
Through the characteristic entrance gate, you enter a cozy courtyard with historic cottages. Although the homes are still inhabited, the courtyard is freely accessible during the day. A special place to get away from the hustle and bustle and discover a piece of Vlissingen's history.
