About the Prison Tower

The Gevangentoren in Vlissingen, a monumental structure from the 16th century, has been transformed into an atmospheric restaurant where guests can enjoy delicious dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Once built as part of the Westpoort and later used as a city prison, this historic location breathes the city's maritime history. In addition to dining, the Gevangentoren also offers a unique lodging option: the spire has been converted into a luxury suite. Here guests will find a double bed, a modern bathroom and a private terrace with panoramic views of the Westerschelde. A stay that combines historic charm and contemporary comfort.
