On March 1, 2004, De Gouden Schaar first opened its doors on Walstraat. In 2014, the business moved to Scheldestraat, mainly because of better accessibility. "Customers wanted to be able to bring and pick up their clothes quickly. Here on Scheldestraat, that's easier. And if you do good work, customers will continue to find you wherever you are."
Mustafa's philosophy is clear: quality comes first. "I only entertain what I can make really good. Honesty is important. My customers appreciate that. They know they can count on me."
Whether it's shortening pants, mending a coat or steaming a quilt or curtain, Mustafa delivers his work with extreme precision. "My customers are often people who have an eye for detail. They come not just for a repair, but for craftsmanship. And I give them that."
For now, Mustafa is not thinking of quitting. "As long as my health allows and my children have not yet graduated, I will continue. This work is in my heart. It's not just a job, it's my life."
