According to experts, the best CCR band (UK) is coming to the Netherlands again. Pathé LIVE in Vlissingen (formerly CCXL Theater) is also on the agenda! It will be a steaming performance with world hits like ‘Fortunate Son’, ‘Up Around the Bend’, ‘Have you ever seen the Rain’ and many other brilliant songs, where spectacular drum and bass solos will certainly not be missing.
It was John Fogerty's rugged, almost impossible-to-imitate voice, along with the delivery of great melodies, that made Creedence Clearwater Revival instantly the prominent American band of the late 60s and early 70s. CCR's single versions of Dale Hawkins’ ’Suzy Q“ and ”Screaming‘ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” were CCR's first major hits. With the release of its second album, “Bayou Country,” CCR suddenly became the most popular rock band in America.
Creedence Clearwater Revival hasn't been around for a long time, but the CCR All Stars band comes frighteningly close to the original! The band keeps CCR's southern rock alive in an authentic way.
The CCR All Stars band consists of band members with an impressive track record in the British music world, such as lead singer Peter Barton (formerly of The Animals), Geoff Hammond (formerly of the Denny Laine Band), and Alan Sagar (Slack Alice). The newest addition is none other than Jim Kirkpatrick (known from the legendary British rock band FM). Under the guidance of the charismatic Peter Barton, they will perform all the hits of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
