Schrödinger's cat visits nuclear power plants in Europe - alive and dead at the same time, depending on where you look with the VR goggles. An experimental virtual reality film with a dose of cat horror, freely based on Erwin Schrödinger and Albert Einstein's correspondence about the thought experiment in quantum mechanics known as “Schrödinger's cat.”.
For this work, artist Dani Ploeger traveled to the Ignalina nuclear power plant in Lithuania (the identical twin of reactor No. 4 at Chernobyl), the never-operated Zwentendorf nuclear power plant in Austria and the area around the active Borssele nuclear power plant in Zeeland. There he used a special camera to take immersive film footage of a rare toy robot cat from the 1980s.
