What is there to do?

At the invitation of the municipality of Vlissingen, the Royal Harmony Ons Genoegen will hold a concert on Monday, April 27, 2026, as a kickoff to the King's Day activities for all residents and visitors in Cultuurpodium Sint Jacobskerk in Vlissingen. Special guests will be those who have been decorated, along with residents to be decorated this year during the "Lintjesregen" (Medal Shower). The Mayor of Vlissingen, Mr. A.R.B. van den Tillaar, will also be present and give a short speech.

At 11:00 AM, brass players will herald the concert from the tower of St. James' Church. Once all guests are seated in the church, the concert will begin. We expect this to be around 11:15 AM.

The Concert Band is conducted by Sander van Dorst; we have put together a fun program consisting mainly of Spanish and French music. Among other pieces, we will perform a compilation of Carmen and El Camino Real.

Everyone is welcome.

The church is open from 11:00 AM and admission is free.
