Every year, on the second Saturday in the new year, the Harmony Orchestra gives a concert and goes in search of a guest with whom a full-length program is given. This time the guest singer is Nigel Brown: Nigel was a candidate in The Voice of Holland and had a role in several musicals, including The Lion King and Alladin. He was also the Dutch voice of “Mufasa”(2024) in the movie of the same name.
The Ons Genoegen wind band is led by conductor Sander van Dorst. The repertoire is very diverse every time. This year we have chosen film and musical.
The Wind Orchestra and vocalist Nigel will perform some of their own songs. In addition, several pieces of music will be performed together.
The program will include music from: West Side Story, Tarzan, The Lion King, An American in Paris. And from well-known composers Ennio Morricone and John Williams. The concert is appropriately titled “Musical Mov(i)es.” It will be an evening with mostly recognizable music where you can dream away or just can not sit still.
