Vlissingen has been a strategically located port city on the Westerschelde since the Middle Ages. More than 80,000 ships pass Vlissingen every year on their way to one of its ports. The ports of Vlissingen, Terneuzen and Ghent together form North Sea Port: a modern, multifaceted port that stretches over 60 kilometers and two countries.
