On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the municipality of Vlissingen will open its doors during the national Open Monument Day. This event gives the opportunity to take a look at the history and cultural heritage of our municipality. From historic buildings and monuments to hidden gems not normally open to the public.
Mosaics
This year during Open Monument Day, the Mosaics, which used to be part of the illustrious Hotel Brittain, can also be admired on the former grounds of Stadsbeheer Vlissingen on Vredehoflaan. People from the Heemkundige Kring Zeeland will then be present between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to provide information about the current status of this work of art that is important to Vlissingen'.
