On Saturday afternoon, April 4, you can join city storyteller Johannes in exploring the history

of Flushing are going to experience. The StoryTrail Theater Walk is a historical

tour and a storytelling performance in one.

From the Old Market, Johannes guides you past sturdy wharves and stately merchant palaces. 

There, compelling stories await you. You will be introduced to Michiel de Ruyter 

and discovers that although he was loved, he was definitely not a sweetheart. You meet Willibrord, 

the missionary who converted the people of Vlissingen and helped them get a nice nickname. You will experience the 

bizarre history of continental Europe's oldest dry dock. And you shudder when you 

comes face to face with the ghost of the Sculpture House. 

Narrator Johannes lets you experience the city's history in colors and scents. And he shows you 

also what can still be seen of all that history in the streets of Flushing. Join the
