The Zeeland Comedy presents: King Krump
What happens when the most powerful man in the world is guided by his fear?
The new performance by De Zeeuwse Komedie can be seen in Vlissingen in April and May.
King Krump, written by Jibbe Willems and adapted by director Dimitri Nijsse, is a very topical play about fear, power, manipulation, and the search for love.
Krump is unexpectedly chosen as the new king of Kamerika. By his side stand Kelania, who tries to push him toward peace and reconciliation, and Kivanka, who sees opportunities to take an influential position. But behind the throne, Annon whispers: Krump's advisor sows fear, points out enemies, and normalizes destruction.
How long will Krump remain master of his own choices? And what will happen to his greatest adversary, Billary? As Kamerika becomes increasingly red, the question grows: Who actually reigns here? The king or fear?
