Rock ’n‘ roll band The Wieners toured the Netherlands for many seasons in a row with the theater show ’The Wieners Play The Everly Brothers‘. Today they pay a special tribute to the Everly's, in a small ’unplugged' duo line-up.
No other duo's voices melted together as beautifully as Don and Phil Everly's. Beginning in 1957, they scored numerous hits, including Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Bird Dog, All I Have To Do Is Dream and Til I Kissed You.
The Wieners is a 'vintage' rock and roll band that has been on the road since 2005, performing throughout Europe, with music from all of their 1950s heroes. Their particular love for the work of The Everly Brothers led to the release of an Everly CD, a DVD and many tribute concerts, as far away as England.
After a live performance at Veronica Inside, music connoisseur Johan Derksen said he had never heard a duo that approximates the voices of The Everly Brothers as well as The Wieners. As if Don and Phil were standing in front of you.
