The Machinefabriek, an iconic building in Vlissingen's Scheldekwartier, is an imposing piece of industrial heritage from the days when the city flourished as a shipbuilding center. Built in the early 20th century, this historic building was once part of the Koninklijke Maatschappij De Schelde, where ships were built and repaired. Its tall windows, brick facades and imposing steel structure are reminders of the heyday of Vlissingen's maritime industry.
