Startpunt: Parkeergarage Fonteyne<\/h2>\n

De wandeling begint bij Parkeergarage Fonteyne, midden in het centrum van Vlissingen. Verlaat de parkeergarage en sla rechtsaf de Spuistraat in.<\/p>\n

Loop de Spuistraat uit tot je aankomt bij het Bellamy Park<\/a>, het levendige horecaplein van de stad. Hier vind je diverse restaurants en terrassen, de waterfontein en Reptile Zoo Iguana<\/a>. Vervolg je route over het Bellamypark richting het Beursplein. Hier staat het monumentale Oude Beursgebouw, dat herinnert aan de belangrijke handelsfunctie die Vlissingen eeuwenlang vervulde.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n

Boulevard De Ruyter<\/h2>\n

Vanaf het Beursplein wandel je Boulevard De Ruyter op. Je bevindt je hier op het historische Keizersbolwerk, met een weids uitzicht over de Westerschelde.<\/p>\n

Op dit punt staan twee iconische bezienswaardigheden van Vlissingen: het standbeeld van admiraal Michiel de Ruyter<\/a> en het karakteristieke Kustlicht<\/a>, de rode vuurtoren die nog altijd de boulevard siert.<\/p>\n

Volg de Boulevard De Ruyter verder. Onderweg passeer je de Belgische loodsensoci\u00ebteit<\/a> en vind je een bijzondere tijdlijn<\/a> op Boulevard De Ruyter, waarin de geschiedenis van de stad wordt verteld.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n

Gevangentoren en Boulevard Bankert<\/h2>\n

Na de tijdlijn staat the Prison Tower<\/a>, een van de oudste monumenten van Vlissingen. Oorspronkelijk maakte deze toren deel uit van de middeleeuwse stadsverdediging.<\/p>\n

Loop vervolgens verder over de Boulevard Bankert. Hier passeer je het voormalige gebouw van de Zeevaartschoo<\/a>l, tegenwoordig een hotel. Dit monumentale pand speelde jarenlang een belangrijke rol in de opleiding van zeevarenden.<\/p>\n

Volg de Boulevard Evertsen richting het Nollehoofd. Aan het uiterste puntje staat het bijzondere Wind Organ<\/a>, een kunstwerk dat door de wind en de golven geluid produceert. Vanaf hier heb je een prachtig uitzicht over de kustlijn, de Westerschelde en Nollestrand<\/a>. Wandel vervolgens terug over de Boulevard Evertsen naar het vervolg van de route.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n

Via de Peperdijk bereik je de Walstraat, al eeuwenlang een van de belangrijkste straten van de binnenstad. Loop de Walstraat af tot aan de Kleine Markt.<\/p>\n

Sla hier af naar de Sint Jacobsstraat. Deze straat brengt je naar de Oude Markt, waar de imposante St. James' Church<\/a> staat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n
