Film By The Sea 2026

Film by the Sea is the film festival of the Netherlands and annually one of the most important cultural events in Zeeland. From September 11 to 20, 2026, the festival will experience its 28th edition in Vlissingen.

For ten days, film takes center stage with a diverse program for both the dedicated cinephile and the curious visitor. Not only book adaptations and French-language films, but also Zeeland films and documentaries receive plenty of attention. The Panorama section screens the best new quality films of the moment.

In addition to the extensive film program, there is much more to experience during Film by the Sea. Visit special premieres, meet filmmakers and guests, or choose one of the many specials and events that combine film with, for example, music, gastronomy, and unique locations.

Film by the Sea brings film, culture and the Zeeland coast together into a unique festival experience.
