About the Welding Pilot
The Lasloods in Vlissingen is a unique event venue with a rich maritime history. Built in 1956 as part of the Rijn Schelde Montage Bedrijf, the building was given a new purpose after a thorough renovation in 2017. With an area of 1,600 square meters and modern facilities such as underfloor heating, The Welding Shed offers space for a variety of events, from corporate parties and trade shows to concerts and dinners. The venue is surrounded by water and offers views of Vlissingen's fishing harbor, adding to its unique atmosphere.
Thanks to its proximity to the NS railway station and ample parking, De Lasloods is easily accessible for visitors. A special event at De Lasloods is chef Michel Louws' annual pop-up restaurant. During the summer months he serves here a menu of twelve dishes to share, prepared with seasonal and local products. This culinary concept attracts both local foodies and outside visitors, offering a unique dining experience in an industrial setting.
