Perhaps you didn't know it yet, but Walcheren is a fantastic place to spend your holiday! Middelburg, the provincial capital of Zeeland with its many authentic buildings, delightful shopping center, and numerous cafes, coffee shops, and countless eateries to enjoy what's happening around you. Vlissingen with its beautiful boulevard and seagoing vessels gliding by just meters away, while you cool your feet in the water. How wonderful can a holiday be! And then there's the small town of Veere, wandering through the medieval streets, enjoying the harbor where the sailboats dock, or simply crossing the Veerse Meer lake by bike ferry. It's all possible!
Or what do you think about just grabbing your bike and being surprised by beautiful spots as you crisscross through the many polder paths, perhaps stopping for a cup of coffee with a tasty Zeeland "bolus"? And then heading back to the campsite via the dunes and the forest.
Minicamping d’Abeele has been in existence since 1975 and has a total of 25 well-sheltered pitches spread across three fields for caravans, motorhomes, or tents. Cyclists and hikers are also very welcome at our campsite. Although the farm is no longer in operation, the campsite is still located amidst all the activity, with various organic vegetables being grown directly behind and next to the farm. On the campsite, we naturally also have animals such as chickens, our own dog Tup (although he doesn't go onto the camping grounds), and the quirky cat, Mister Tumnus. He doesn't ignore a delicious mouse and also enjoys a pat on the head from time to time! And yes, a campsite isn't a campsite if we don't occasionally have various neighborhood cats as guests.
