HZ Regeneration Festival 2026: Discover the Future of Regenerative Thinking
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, you are cordially invited to the second edition of the HZ Regeneration Festival, organized by the HZ Impact Lab. Following the success of last year promises another inspiring afternoon in which we will work together for greater impact.
During the festival, students are central. They present their own ideas and perspectives on innovation and regeneration through workshops and presentations they have developed themselves. This positions them as young professionals actively working on practical issues. Be inspired and engage in conversations about themes such as regenerative music, circular economy, and bio-based solutions.
An important goal of the festival is to bring together students, faculty, and external guests. These encounters foster new collaborations and explore how we can collectively transition from sustainability to regeneration.
Keynote by Bas van den Berg
The festival kicks off with a keynote by Bas van den Berg, Regenerating reader at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and founder of the School for Regenerative Educators. In his keynote, he explores what regenerative work means. How can we look beyond efficiency and exploitation and move towards approaches that restore, renew, and strengthen systems? Using a case study of a regenerative business and insights from research, he offers an in-depth perspective on this current theme. His book was published in 2025. ‘The Art of Regenerative Educatorship’.
